@getpeppr/sdk 6.2.0 adds Estonia to SCHEMES_BY_COUNTRY, the list of
Peppol identifier schemes the console offers per country.
The two Estonian schemes
| Scheme | What it is | Format |
|---|---|---|
0191 (EE:CC) |
Registry code from the e-Business Register — recommended | 8 digits, starting with 1, 7, 8 or 9, no prefix |
9931 (EE:VAT) |
VAT number (KMKR) | EE + 9 digits; the prefix is required when you register your own number |
Most Estonian companies on Peppol are addressed by their registry code. A VAT-registered company registers its VAT number as well: an invoice that charges VAT needs it.
What changes for your code
validatePeppolIdentifier now checks the format and the check digit of both
schemes. A value it accepted before, such as validatePeppolIdentifier("0191", "12345670"), now returns valid: false with the error
Invalid checksum for Registry code. Every code and VAT number in the Estonian
register passes.
validatePeppolIdentifier("9931", "990000013") stays valid: addressing a
recipient does not need the prefix. With { usage: "registration" } the same
value is refused with Format mismatch: expected EE followed by 9 digits (e.g. EE990000013)., because our Peppol provider refuses it when you register it.
On getpeppr
Estonian VAT numbers are now verified automatically against VIES. The registry code is reviewed by our team for now, so Estonia is listed as assisted on /countries. The Estonian customers guide covers platforms.
