A French invoice sent in the regulated French regime needs two identifiers on the
legal entity that issues it: the SIREN under scheme 0002, and the annuaire
address under scheme 0225. A customer you create with POST /v1/legal-entities
could only carry one, so a platform's French customers could never reach the
regime. They now can, in the sandbox.
What changed
identifiers, an ordered list of one to three{ scheme, value }entries, is accepted at creation as an alternative toidentifier. Sending both, an empty list, more than three entries or the same identifier twice is refused with400 legal_entities.identifier_set_invalid.- The order is part of the identity. The first non-tax identifier is written as
the seller's address and legal registration number on every document the customer
sends (a VAT number placed first is skipped), and the list is registered on the
network in that order, one after the other. A French customer lists its SIREN
before its annuaire address; the reverse order is refused with
400 legal_entities.france_identifier_order, because French ruleBR-FR-10could never hold on such an entity. - Every legal entity now returns
identifiers, each entry with its own status. The top-level fields keep describing the first identifier, so nothing changes for a customer created with one. Each identifier produces its ownlegal_entity.registeredwebhook event. - A replay must repeat the same list, in the same order. A reordered, shorter
or longer list is refused with
422 identifier_immutable, as a changed identifier always was.
Not yet in production
A production key sending more than one identifier receives
422 legal_entities.multiple_identifiers_production_unavailable. The authorisation
your customer confirms before we register them in production names a single
identifier; registering a second one needs that wording to change first.
In the sandbox, the annuaire address takes the form SIREN_XXX — the SIREN
followed by a label of your choice. The French annuaire is set up with every
company's bare 0225:SIREN address, which an access point takes over rather than
creates, and on the Peppol test network each of those is already held.
Registries are queried in the sandbox exactly as in production: to see a French
customer through to active, use the SIREN of a real company you act for.
